Pine River Library is hiring a Library Assistant to join their fun, dynamic, community-minded team.

Pine River Library’s mission is “connecting community,” a guiding idea that puts customer service at the forefront of everything we do. As a library assistant, you will do so much more than check out materials to patrons. On a regular desk shift you might find yourself helping a patron learn the basics of a device or assisting with an online job application. You might help a patron navigate applying for housing, medical, or food assistance. You might find yourself chatting with a young patron about their interests so you can help them find their new favorite book. You’ll get to know “the regulars” and also help newcomers to the area join the community.
This position will start at part time (approximately 12 hours per week), with the possibility to grow into full time. The pay range is $13-18/hour. Applications are due Friday, June 9. For more details and application visit www.prlibrary.org/employment.

The Pine River Public Library District was voted the “2014 Best Small Library” in the country by Library Journal. We have a beautiful 12,000 sq. ft. facility with an impressive 17,000 sq. ft. community garden in partnership with the Pine River Garden Club.
