Job Description
A Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program is required, plus five years of public library administrative experience, including management, fiscal, and operational activities. Requires extensive knowledge of the principles and practices of professional library work and a deep understanding of the services and programming needs for all types of libraries.

Demonstrated leadership skills.
Substantial fiscal and resource management experience.
Demonstrated dedication to innovation and knowledge of current trends and best practices for library service.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.
Knowledge of state, county and municipal government operations, and regulations and practices relating to libraries.
he ability to develop and communicate a strategic vision, as well as the ability to design and implement solutions to day-to-day problems. A strong focus on members and their needs.
Ability to supervise personnel in a manner conducive to efficient performance and high morale.
Flexibility and the willingness to adapt to changing priorities and projects.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills essential.
