Job Description
Actively collaborates with faculty and other staff to promote awareness of library materials, informs faculty about how to use library materials effectively in class assignments, and to develop imbedded library instruction within all programs. Provides reference/research assistance to library patrons in a variety of formats, which may include one-to-one in person assistance, interactive web based assistance, and development of print or electronic materials and resources to guide patrons to find information. Develops and delivers library instruction in classrooms. Takes an active role in CHU’s recruiting efforts, collections development, and overall growth plan. Prepares or assists in the preparation of various reports, including monthly activity reports. Supports the operations of circulation department, when needed. When appropriate, serves as the functional lead of library operations, including supervision of work studies and part time hourly employees in the library. Actively participates with CHU professional staff in decision-making regarding library database and print collection purchases. Is responsible for maintaining the library according to ACICS guidelines. Reports to the Director of Academic ProgramsAdditional Info & Requirements
