Job Description
The Town of Swansea seeks applications for Library Director, a highly visible leadership role serving as the official representative of the Swansea Free Public Library. Enthusiasm, organization, and strong customer service skills are paramount. Applicants must possess and maintain a Professional Certification of Librarianship as well as a Masters’ Degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA accredited school. Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in professional library work, including management and direct supervision of others, or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
