The Seekonk Public Library is looking for its next Associate Director - a public service focused individual with excellent management skills and expertise in library technology. The Town of Seekonk is a small, vibrant community of approximately 14,000 located in southeastern Massachusetts. In FY23, visits to the library numbered over 60,000, more than 200,000 physical items were circulated, and event attendance totaled 6790.
Position Title: Associate Director
Terms: This is a salaried full time position. The Associate Director will typically work 35-40 hours per week and may be expected to work occasional weekend hours. Attendance at nightly or weekend meetings beyond the normal work schedule may also be required.

Minimum Qualifications
- Masters degree in Library and Information Science and five years of progressively responsible experience in library operations, including supervisory experience and technology support.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with members of the staff, public, other town departments, and community organizations.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while demonstrating initiative and leadership skills, to achieve library objectives.
- Superior knowledge of library principles and procedures, library automated systems, emerging technologies, and customer service principles. Experience with SirsiDynix Symphony /Blue Cloud software preferred.
Salary
Anticipated salary is high $80,000's.
