Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Web Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of web development best practices, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. They will also have experience with website accessibility, SEO, link checking, analytics monitoring and analysis, video captioning, and weekly website maintenance. This position is 100% remote support to the National Institute of Corrections at Aurora, Colorado.

Jr Web Developer Responsibilities Include:

Compensation/Benefits:

This position supports a SCA (Service Contract Act) contract; therefore, the hourly wage is determined by the Department of Labor per the applicable Area Wage Determination (AWD). This position is classified as a Librarian and the hourly wage is $30.01/hr + and is eligible for Health and Welfare benefits and Paid Leave (detailed below)

Vacation: 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year of service with a contractor or successor, 3 weeks after 5 years, and 4 weeks after 15 years.  Length of service includes the whole span of continuous service with the present contractor or successor, wherever employed, and with the predecessor contractors in the performance of similar work at the same Federal facility.

Sick Leave: 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 56 hours of paid sick leave each year.

Holidays: 11 Federal Holidays are observed (New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday, Washington's Birthday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth National Independence Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day)

Required Qualifications:

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Public Trust certification. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

•            1-2 years of experience in web development support

•            Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP

•            Experience with website accessibility, SEO, link checking, analytics monitoring and analysis, and video captioning
