Job Description
Looking for a customer service oriented, friendly, engaging person to work our main circulation desk. Main tasks include all circulation desk duties, including, but not limited to: checking materials in/out, registering patrons for library cards and programs, reader’s advisory, placing and filling holds, assisting patrons in using online and in house resources and some reference help. Love of books a plus. 5 hours every other Friday and Saturday required. Responsible for opening and closing the library on Saturday after training period. Other 5 hours as necessary to fill in for planned staff PTO days. Average hours per week 10. Salary $15.00 per hour. Associate Degree preferred. Preference given to candidates with previous library experience, particularly with Koha/Aspen. Excellent computer skills necessary.
