Job Description

The University Libraries at Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas is seeking applications for an Assistant Director of Library Systems to start in December 2023.

The successful candidate will be or planning, coordination, and administration of the Library Systems and IT division, including all so􀅌ware and hardware used by the library, MakerSpot, and 24/7 access to library resources. The candidate will also be in charge of the Coordination with the Dean, Associate Directors and University IT to administer of the Library network, applications, resources, and other technologies to ensure 24/7 access. They will also be responsible for leading in the application and creation of new technologies that improve user access to library resources and staff work as it relates to access and collection discovery including but not limited to library automated systems, library web pages, Interlibrary loan and electronic resource policies and procedures.

Applicants must have earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. They will need to have six years of related experience. Degree in Library Science preferred.
