Job Description

The Technical Support Technician is responsible for performing customer service and entry level technical support for users for IT functions within a department or division. support involves computer systems administration and support tasks, including customer communications, documenting, inventorying, testing, maintaining, basic troubleshooting, triage, repair and support of PC hardware, software, operating systems, software applications, peripherals and mobile devices.

Additional duties include helping to research and identify assistive tech tools and software for use by people with disabilities.

Candidate must have a reliable, insured vehicle that is large enough to transport 20 laptops or Chromebooks at a time. Candidate must have a valid Colorado Driver’s license. (Candidate will be reimbursed for mileage driven for company purposes.)

This is a limited term opportunity. This Grant-Funded position will end December 2024.

Hiring Range: $22.18 - $27.73 per hour.

• Performs a variety of computer maintenance and support tasks, including receiving and documenting incoming support calls, inventorying, basic troubleshooting of PC hardware, software, operating systems, software applications, peripherals and mobile phones.
• Exercises judgment and decision making in the diagnosis and resolution of basic computer hardware and software problems. Follows established processes and procedures. Provides input for process optimization.
• Receipting, pulling orders, staging orders, processing delivery receipts, scanning, performing end-of-day processing and performing cycle counts.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required - Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required - Ability to lift, carry, push or pull equipment moved between library sites estimated at 50 lbs. in a rolling cart.

Required - Colorado Driver's License, reliable transportation.

Benefits & Additional Compensation Info

This position is eligible for personal medical coverage beginning the first of the month after the hire date and has an assignment lasting no more than one year.
