About the Opportunity

Sno-Isle Libraries anticipates welcoming our Edmonds community back into their library in the New Year. The part-time Public Services Assistant at the Edmonds Library will perform basic public service and library support tasks to contribute to their effective operation, providing library services, spaces, and resources that are representative of diverse cultures and perspectives, intentionally inclusive, and accessible to everyone.

Because the Library has recently undergone a remodel, this position may initially include a larger than normal amount of physical lifting, shelving, and bending as they assist in reshelving the approximately 42,000 items of collection, helping with furniture placement, and unpacking in an all-staff effort to reopen the library.

The person selected for the position will work a 15-hour per week schedule including morning, afternoon, evening, and weekends including at least two evenings a week and at least two Sundays every four weeks. Successful candidate may be required to adapt to future schedule and location changes depending on library needs.
