This customer service Associate job is focused on assisting library patrons in the use of library materials and equipment; processing new library cards; check-in & check-out of materials, collection of money for fines/fees; and other duties as assigned.
The 24 hour per week position includes a regular work schedule with evening and weekend rotations. Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Associate Essential Duties
Greets visitors to library
Performs check in and check out and answers patron questions at service desks
Explains library services and policies
Maintains orderliness of public areas
Issues library cards
Performs clerical or technical tasks
Performs library services such as receiving, loaning, shelving materials, and following up on overdue books
Assists library patrons in the use of the website, information databases, and downloading materials
Follows procedures in receiving cash payment for overdue, damaged or lost library items
Performs varied clerical cataloging work
Inspects returned books, materials and equipment for damage
Places holds and interlibrary loan requests and notifies patrons when items arrive
