Job Description

The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a Law Librarian I to perform professional to advanced library duties which include providing legal reference and research guidance, instruction in database searching, catalog and collection maintenance.

Primary work location is Putnam; may be required up to two days a week to work other locations.

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

General Experience: A Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science from a graduate school accredited by the American Library Association. 

Substitutions Allowed: Three years of experience as a Law Librarian Trainee may be substituted for the General Experience. 

A Law Librarian I may be advanced to the class of Law Librarian II after receiving a satisfactory performance evaluation and meeting the experience requirements for the II level.

Special Requirements: Incumbents in this class may be required to travel in the course of their daily work.
