Harvest University seeks a qualified individual to assume the role of Part-time Library Supervisor to oversee the operation of Joseph R. Tallman Library and provide guidance and assistance to the Library Staff.  The qualified candidate should possess a Master's degree in Library Science, along with significant experience in library management.

Additional Info & Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the library staff.

• Conduct regular meetings with on-site library personnel to discuss ongoing projects, address concerns, and provide constructive feedback.

• Offer assistance and recommendations on library management strategies to enhance overall efficiency.

• Collaborate with library staff to develop and implement policies and procedures for optimal library operations.

• Oversee the operations to ensure the quality and integrity of all processes.

• Stay informed about new technologies, and best practices in library management.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in library management.

• Demonstrate knowledge of current and emerging technologies in library services, information technology and information literacy.

• Strong collaborative and communication skills

• Flexibility to work part-time hours.

The Joseph R. Tallman Library serves as the foundation of academic support for all learning and research pursuits of HU students, faculty, and staff. It features 34,000 physical and electronic items for Biblical higher education and research. 

JRTL offers students wide-ranging reference services, as well as a place to study and to participate in group discussions. 

The library has a rich collection of online information resources to support students’ academic research, including thousands of e-journals and hundreds of article databases
