About the Opportunity

The Lake Stevens Library is a medium-sized library centrally located within the East District of Sno-Isle Libraries service area. The City of Lake Stevens is a rapidly growing and diverse community that surrounds the largest natural lake in Snohomish County. The Lake Stevens Library is open seven days a week, offering programming, collections, and services that largely focus on early learning, children, and families.  Sno-Isle Libraries is currently in the design phase of a new Lake Stevens building, which is expected to break ground in 2024. This position works closely with educators in the Lake Stevens School District, providing support, resources, and programming to aid student success. The ability to develop and execute library programming for K-12 students, provide in-classroom book-talks and resource demonstrations, and further system-wide initiatives will be essential. This position requires a high level of professionalism and accountability. The ideal candidate will be self-directing and comfortable holding a leadership role in the library and in the community making connections, developing relationships, and providing services, spaces, and resources that are representative of diverse cultures and perspectives, intentionally inclusive, and accessible to everyone while supporting community organizations and promoting the library.
