Job Description

The Wyoming State Library has an opening for a Resource Sharing Librarian with the skills necessary to coordinate and support statewide resource-sharing projects for the 105 member libraries in the WYLD consortium. The Resource Sharing Librarian reports directly to the WYLD ILS Program Manager and supports library staff using the ILS and the statewide shared catalog by responding to inquiries related to interlibrary loans, holds management, and related processes. The position may assist library staff using the ILS in other areas as needed.

This position is perfect for the candidate who:
 

  • Has experience using Integrated Library Systems and Library Services Platforms with an emphasis on resource sharing.
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude when working with library staff and coworkers.
  • Can creatively solve problems and negotiate and handle stressful situations in a positive manner.
  • Can multitask, prioritize, and demonstrate innovation and flexibility.
  • Is comfortable providing training using a variety of methods for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
