Job title: Projects & Events Coordinator (part event coordinator, part project manager, part hospitality host)

Business Unit: Customer Experience Department

Pay Range: $58,000-$66,700 DOE

Job Type: Full-time; exempt; benefitted

Job description:

You inspire and support our team to provide exceptional programming and events for our branches, establishing Anythink as a Colorado destination. As part of the customer experience and leadership team, you coordinate district-wide programs, exhibits, and events that reflect Anythink's values and mission. You are energized by connecting staff with partners and experts that help diversify, expand and elevate Anythink programming, sparking the wonder and joy of Anythink for customers of all ages.

Your vision:

• You coordinate Anythink's special projects, including events, exhibitions, outreach opportunities and initiatives like Anythink's Backyard Concert Series, mySummer, and Fall Artist Showcase.
• You are a genius at event coordination, leading teams to shape project plans and use project management tools to help keep everyone on deadline.
• You aren't intimidated by minutia and love diving into the nitty-gritty of managing details like scheduling, logistics, and event planning.
• You understand what makes a successful event for all audiences.
• You have a creative mind with ideas and vision for how to continuously grow and evolve our initiatives and events. 
• You understand how to build on past successes and when to infuse your own new ideas to keep events relevant, fresh, and fun.
• Your warm, friendly demeanor is perfect for growing partnerships in the local community and beyond.
• You are a great listener and passionate about seeking out those visionary staff ideas that could lead to district-wide events and also willing to make the big decisions as needed.
• You appreciate a solidly run meeting with a clear agenda, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed and understand their roles. 
• You help define outcomes by identifying metrics for success and tracking those metrics; you understand the stories are just as important as the stats.
• You collaborate with other departments to help effectively infuse the Anythink spirit in all special projects, events, and district-wide initiatives.
• You understand that each branch has a unique community and you are eager to learn the operational and cultural needs of each location.
• You are an explorer of trends, identifying new exhibits, partners, technologies, and initiatives that support Anythink's vision.

Do you have what it takes?

• You have 3+ years of marketing/communications/event planning or related experience.
• You have a bachelor's degree, preferably in Liberal Arts, Communications or related subject.
• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, adapt flexibly to changing priorities, and meet deadlines with a high-speed environment.
• You are tech savvy. You have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, project management tools, and talent management software. 
• Spanish Speaking candidates desired.
