Hours:  full time, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus other hours as necessary.

Lincoln City Libraries (Lincoln, NE) is currently seeking an Assistant Library Director. This position will assist the Library Director in overall management, coordination and direction of the library system. The Library is looking for a dynamic individual with demonstrated leadership skills, a passion for providing forward-thinking planning and innovative library services, and a proven record of working effectively in a changing environment. This position is responsible for personnel and operations functions within the framework of City policies and it supervises upper level management of the library. Lincoln City Libraries includes a main library, seven branches and bookmobile. It serves all residents of Lancaster County with population of 325,000. Annual operating budget of $12 million, 108 FTEs, annual circulation of 2.9 million with a collection of 800,000.

Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university supplemented by a Master's Degree in an ALA-accredited library science program plus four years of professional library experience, and four years of supervisory experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities or skills.
