Job Description

The Douglas County Libraries’ IT department has a job opportunity for the right candidate. The PT (20 hrs/wk) Technology Support Technician will perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of PCs at all locations in the District. The position will perform regular maintenance and repair of PCs at all branches. Also, the position will perform setup and installation of computer hardware and software, and will assist with software upgrades.

Additional Info & Requirements

The position requires good general knowledge of routine PC hardware and software installation and troubleshooting for a variety of computer applications. Must demonstrate comfort with workstations and operating system software. Knowledge or familiarity with library circulation systems, public-access computing systems, and self-service and RFID systems is strongly desired. Top candidates will possess a proactive and professional public service initiative and strong communication skills. Candidates must be able to work a mix of days, evenings and weekends. Applicable work experience is desired.
