
The East Regional Branch library is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to fill the role of Senior Librarian Branch Manager. This position entails the execution of complex library duties, including the administration of the East Regional Library. The incumbent will play a key role in overseeing diverse services, encompassing Information and Outreach Services, Youth Services, Circulation Services, and Paging. Serves as primary Team Lead and ensures safety and security for all customers and staff, is knowledgeable, competent, and accountable on all items associated with their location.
• Hires, trains, and supervises branch staff to ensure compliance with policies and achievement of library goals
• Analyzes service area needs to recommend materials and plan programs, services, and community outreach activities
• Oversees all branch services, including Adult and Youth Services, Circulation, programming, and outreach
• Ensures customer safety, building and grounds maintenance, and accountability for all branch operations
• Participates in the library's Management Team, informing staff of system-wide initiatives and promoting new trends and technologies
• Prepares and maintains essential reports and statistics, and submits recommendations for budget, equipment, personnel, supplies, and programs as requested by Library Administration
• Maintains an organized branch collection by recommending new and retrospective materials, purging obsolete items, and potentially managing materials selection and budget allocation for the library system
