This position, within the library’s IT department, exists to bridge the gaps between librarians, archivists, vendors, and developers. The Technical Lead ensures that IT is meeting the needs of our special collections. Day-to-day responsibilities may include troubleshooting public finding aid creation, consulting on new workflows or policies, coordinating ArchivesSpace plug-in development and maintenance, or representing Yale’s interests in the ArchivesSpace community.

Successful applicants may have greater experience in library technology or in archives but will quickly gain dual proficiency.

Yale Library is committed to developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities of its staff. Fostering diversity is a core value for us. Applicants are encouraged to think broadly about their skills and explain how they may relate to this position in the cover letter. Familiarity with listed applications is preferred but not required.
