Description of Job 

The Opportunity 

The Resource Sharing Coordinator reports to the User Services Manager and will be joining the User Services team whichprovidesuser-centered services (circulation, technology lending, course readings, and resource sharing). The Resource Sharing Coordinatoris responsible foroverseeing the daily operations of interlibraryloan, as well as acting as the liaison between Collection Management andUser Services. 

This position is a full-time classified position (40hrs/week) and works on-campus. Flexible work arrangements can be negotiated, but position requires 75% on site work. 

Responsibilities 

The Resource Sharing Coordinator supports and advances the mission of the Library and the Colorado School of Mines through a variety of methods, such as: 

Manage and Coordinate Resource Sharing Services 

• Coordinate and manage interlibrary borrowing and lending services and regional lending/borrowing services. 

• Hire, train, schedule, andmonitorstudent employees to support daily resource sharing functions. 

• Providecross-training for othermembersofUserServices unit. 

• Communicate with library users on the status of their orders, availability of publications, and other services. 

• Evaluate and recommend interlibrary loan systems, platforms, equipment, and workflows to ensuretimely, efficient, andoptimalservices over time. 

• Upkeep andprovidetechnicalsupport of resource sharing software,andliaisonwithIT and IT adjacentas needed. 

• Process fiscal transactions with users and other institutions, including billing, invoicing, and reconciliation of interlibrary loan and Prospector accounts. 

Circulation & User Services Team Support 

• Supervise front desk student assistants during assigned hours at the front desk. 

• Triage users'questions and requests to different library and campus units. 

• Enforce policies and resolveoutstanding user account problems. 

Collection Management Team Support 

• Serve as a member of the Collection Managementteamsupporting projects and functions. 

• Act as the liaison between Collection Management and Circulation and User Services tooptimizeworkflows and procedures between the two teams. 

• Supportpurchasingdecisions and the workflow of ordering Course Readings materials. 

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills withdemonstratedcommitment to public service and the ability to interact with a diverse population of Mine's affiliates and public members.

LIBRARY TECHNICIAN III 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
Experience Only: 
Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position, such as: 

• Experience withinterlibrary loan technologies (e.g.,ILLiad, RAPID, OCLC) 

• Understanding of or experience with integrated library systems (e.g., Alma, III) 

• Understanding of interlibrary loan practices and processes, particularly in an academic environment 

• Experience working with customers, particularly in an academic environment 

OR 
Education and Experience: 

A combination of related education and/ordemonstratedexperience in the use of library catalogs, databases, and web search platforms equal to three (3) years 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Time management skills 

• Ability to conduct time-sensitive research 

• Ability to work independently 

Preferred Qualifications 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

• Experience working in library circulation services and/or collection managementenvironment 

• Experience supervising and training student employees or other support personnel 

• Prior library experience in an academic environment 

• Experience in customer service 

• Prior relevant state work experience
