Job Description
Serve at the public reference desk in assigned department, interviews patrons by telephone or in person responding to service requests. Locate information in assigned area using computerized databases and library tools. Accompany patrons to the book or audio-visual resources and instruct patrons in the use of library resources. Recommend resources for purposes of education, information, or recreational reading. Provide general administrative and technical support related to various Library functions and customer service.Additional Info & Requirements
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university and two years of clerical and/or technical experience in a public library. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency desirable. Knowledge of routine procedures of public libraries. Ability to provide assistance and deal courteously and tactfully with library patrons.The Community
