Job Description
The Wyoming State Library is looking for a librarian with energy, enthusiasm, and creativity to start up and manage library services to the blind and physically handicapped and to manage outreach services to Wyoming’s thirteen state institution libraries. The state of Wyoming currently contracts with the Utah State Library for the Blind and Disabled to provide library services to Wyoming residents. This position will manage that contract, market and advertise library services to those special populations, and work with outside organizations on partnership opportunities. This position will also work with Wyoming’s thirteen state institution library managers to maintain and enhance library services to their residents and inmates. This position will spend several hours a week working the State Library’s Service Desk. A Master's degree in library science plus experience in working with special needs populations is preferred.
