Job Title: Library Programming Manager
Department: Library, Arts, History & Extension (LAHE)
Status: Full-Time | Hybrid Eligible (80:20 schedule)
Work Hours: Includes occasional evenings and weekends

About the Role

If so, the City and County of Broomfield is looking for a Library Programming Manager to lead our dynamic team of innovators, educators, and community builders within the Library, Arts, History and CSU Extension (LAHE) department.

This role isn’t just about scheduling programs—it’s about inspiring meaningful experiences, elevating diverse voices, fostering belonging, and creating joyful learning moments across all ages and backgrounds. You’ll serve as a strategic leader, creative collaborator, and team coach who empowers others and helps shape a culture rooted in kindness, inclusion, accountability, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Occasionally serve as Acting Director when assigned.

Act as a positive ambassador and liaison to community boards, stakeholders, and the public.

Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all programs and internal processes.

Cultivate partnerships with educators, cultural organizations, regional library systems, and informal learning networks.

Oversee daily programming operations, including budget development, risk assessment, and technology planning.

Collaborate with the Arts & History Manager, CSU Extension Director, and Library Operations and Business Managers on joint initiatives and policies.

Align programming goals with department mission and city-wide priorities.

Serve on the LAHE leadership team, helping guide strategic planning, innovation, and a thriving team culture.

The Community

Broomfield, Colorado is a rapidly growing community located between Denver and Boulder.  Currently home to 78,000 people, it is becoming a hub for technology and healthcare.  Broomfield is located within an hour’s drive of the mountains and has a relatively mild climate. Miles of trails and open space and varied cultural opportunities enhance the quality of life.  The library is an active participant in the community and enjoys excellent support from residents and the city and county.
