Job Description
The Arapahoe Community College Library has an opening for a graduate library science student, recent graduate or degreed librarian as a Library Reference Assistant who will gain valuable academic library experience from a fun, amazing, and supportive team of professionals who are student focused and enjoy what they do.
We seek an enthusiastic self-starter and motivated team player who is eager to learn by doing. Duties will include:
· providing research help to students, faculty and staff in multiple modalities,
· helping staff the Research Help and Circulation desks
· acting as person in charge during the evenings
· completing special projects at ACC’s main and Sturm campus

This is a temporary non-exempt hourly position. This position may work for up to 40 hours each week and up to 9 months with an anticipated start date of mid-August.
Minimum Qualifications
· In-person and virtual reference experience in public or academic libraries or relevant class experience
· Knowledge of web-based applications and ILS systems
· Ability to interact with a diverse population
· Strong interpersonal communication skills
· Detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Springshare products (LibGuides, LibCal, LibAnswers)
· Instruction experience
Salary
· $24.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on education and experience
Days
· Mondays – Thursdays 11:00-7:00 with the possibility of Friday
Sick leave is granted in accordance with SB20-205, Sick Leave for Employees, accrued at one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours per year.
Employees are required to contribute to Colorado PERA at a fixed percentage of their salary and do not contribute to Social Security. ACC/CCCS student employees are not eligible to participate in PERA. ACC/CCCS offers threetax-deferred investment plans, including 401(k), 403(b) and 457.
