The Lone Cone Library is located high on Wright's Mesa in beautiful, sunny Norwood, Colorado. It is just 33 miles from word-class skiing in Telluride, and another short drive in the opposite direction to the red-rock canyons and deserts of southwestern Colorado and eastern Utah. In our backyard is Lone Cone mountain (12,618 feet), the Miramonte Reservoir, and seemingly endless trails for recreating. Norwood is a small rural town that has an arts collective, active nonprofit groups, opportunities for youth, a K-12 school, local agriculture, and a fresh food scene. If you like a small community with a lot of recreation and cultural opportunities blended with agriculture, you will likely love Norwood. Candidates seeking to re-locate should research available housing options and have a strong desire to live in a rural community.
