Outreach and Technology Librarian
Altoona Public Library in Altoona, Wisconsin, seeks a full time, dynamic, outgoing, librarian with strong leadership and communication skills to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Develop programs and opportunities at the library. Set up, manage, and supervise a home delivery program to meet the needs of patrons unable to visit the library. Set up, manage, and supervise an in-house library technology assistance program. Represent the library at community events and functions. Work with the library director to create adult, senior, and family programming, collaborates with the communications associate to schedule programming and events and promote the library and its programs and services. Works as technical assistant to the public, offering training and instruction on various technology needs, alongside the library director.
This position is full time, and the hours are:
Monday through Thursday 12:00pm – 8:00pm and Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm.
The starting salary for this position is $56,492.80 annually. MLIS degree required.

Altoona has an excellent benefits package, which includes 80% city paid health insurance. Dental, vision, and life insurance are also part of the package. The library boasts 14 employees, including the management team of the (FT) Director, (FT)Youth Services, and (FT)Circulation Managers. The Outreach and Technology librarian would join this team, and also work closely with the (PT)Communications Librarian, (PT) 8 circulation clerks, and (PT) 2 pages. We are a team with wonderful working rapport and looking for an engaging and dynamic person to complete our roster.
The job is a supervisory position working evenings and Saturdays.
