Reg-Temp    Full-Time Regular
Work Schedule    Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Remote/Telecommuting    Hybrid (part-time working on site, part-time working off-site)


Position Summary    
The Library IT Systems Coordinator works collaboratively to enhance the library’s core systems, including the library services platform, digital asset management and preservation environment, discovery interfaces, and supports the maker studio. This position serves as a liaison to campus IT to strengthen partnerships and advance technology goals. The role requires a strong blend of technical expertise in library systems and web technologies, creativity for 3D prototyping, and solid skills in communication, project management, and problem-solving.

Required Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:    
Knowledge of integrated library systems and discovery platforms, including configuration, customization, and analytics.
Knowledge of library systems infrastructure, including back-end data feeds, proprietary and open-source applications, and third­ party systems.
Demonstrated ability to manage APls.
Knowledge of authentication and access systems, such as OpenAthens, Shibboleth, and SAML, and familiarity with library technology standards and protocols.
Ability to provide safety orientations, technical training, and documentation on maker studio tools and resources.
Knowledge of web technologies, including client-side technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and web-based tools, as well as server-side scripting (e.g., Python, PHP) and database systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL).
Knowledge of digital accessibility standards, specifically WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and the ability to apply these standards to web content and online platforms.
Ability to evaluate technology processes and workflows to recommend and implement modifications that increase efficiency.
Ability to facilitate reporting from various systems, extract, manipulate, and visualize data.
Ability to use strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve electronic resource access issues and other system-related problems.
Ability to use interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills to lead projects, prioritize requests, and manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to work collaboratively with library staff, campus IT, and external partners.
