Examples of Duties
· Hires, supervises, trains, evaluates, and schedules branch staff to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and achievement of library goals
· Ensures the safety and security of staff and customers, and maintains the building and grounds in a clean, safe, and functional condition
· Collaborates with the Branch Team Lead to support staff development, performance, and overall branch operations
· Models and enforces exceptional customer service standards, ensuring responsive, respectful, and solution-oriented interactions across all service areas
· Addresses and resolves customer concerns professionally and in a timely manner, coaching staff through complex or sensitive situations
· Oversees all branch services, including Adult Services, Youth Services, and Circulation Services, to ensure efficient and effective operations
· Conducts regular staff meetings and promotes clear, consistent communication across departments and team members
· Provides advanced reference and readers’ advisory services to meet diverse customer needs
· Plans, implements, and evaluates branch programming, including budgeting and supply management, to align with system goals and community needs
· Monitors facility and technology issues, coordinating with county departments to ensure timely resolution and maintain customer-ready spaces and resources
