Job Description

The Head of Children's Information Services will take a leadership role in developing the collection, policy, programming, patron education, and reference services of the library. In partnership with the other Heads of Children's Information Services, this position will plan, implement, and evaluate information service for the entire system. This position reports to the Library Manager and works with the Heads of Adult Information Services and Circulation to oversee the daily activities of the library. This position supervises a staff of four, including hiring, training, and coaching staff and conducting annual performance appraisals . This person is scheduled at the reference desk. Position participates in staff, committee, and special task force meetings and may also attend workshops and conferences. The successful candidate will be one that enjoys a busy work environment, working with a bright staff and has a great sense of humor.

Additional Info & Requirements

Supervisory and program development experience also required.
