Job Description

Johnson & Wales University is seeking a well-qualified Instructional Technologist at its Denver, CO campus. This position will work collaboratively with members of the Office of Online Learning and campus leadership on the appropriate and effective integration of instructional technology into teaching and learning. The position supports the implementation and integration of instructional technologies in both online and traditional classes. Responsibilities include conducting training workshops, developing user documentation, and supporting faculty in their use of technology and media.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in instructional technology, instructional design, education, or related field; experience integrating technology into teaching in an educational setting; experience with course management systems; knowledge of instructional design and online pedagogy; experience developing and leading technology workshops; experience with multimedia applications and assisting faculty with multimedia planning and production; excellent customer service skills; effective written and oral communication skills; ability to travel occasionally to other JWU campuses. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in instructional technology, instructional design, education, or equivalent; experience working in higher education; experience using Blackboard; experience with streaming media, web conferencing, student response systems, and pen-based technologies; knowledge of copyright law and ADA/accessibility requirements.
