Job Description

The Library Services Coordinator – Adult Services position is responsible administrative work, involving a broad range of Library functions. The position reports to the Library Services Manager and may act as Library Services Manager in the Manager’s absence. The Library Services Coordinator - Adult Services manages and administers all aspects of library services to adults at the College Hill Library. Work is performed independently with responsibility for making final determinations in accordance with established general policies, and is reviewed by the Library Services Manager. Adult Services includes Collection Development, Reference and Information, Public Training, Programming, Interlibrary Loan, and Reader’s Services. Work hours will include evenings and weekends. Education, Experience, Skills, Formal Training, Licenses, and Certifications Required: • Graduation from a four-year college or university, supplemented by an ALA accredited Master's Degree in Library Science • Previous supervision of Master’s level librarians • At least three years of public library experience at a professional level with experience in services to adults, teens, and children • Possesses a valid Colorado Driver License and maintains a safe driving record Preferred: • Experience in developing public library collections • Experience in planning and budgeting, and in promoting adult library services to the community • Bilingual fluent in English and Spanish and/or Hmong In order to be considered for this position, a current copy (not more than 30 days old) of your state-issued driving record (which can be obtained at any DMV office) must be received by Human Resources no later than the application deadline for this position.
