Job Description

Nature of Work: This position creates, updates and maintains Collection Development websites and project management resources and tools. Resources include policies, guidelines, reports, spreadsheets and documents that guide the selection, evaluation and transfer or withdrawal of library materials in all formats. This position reviews and enters license terms into the electronic resources management system (ERM) and implements consistent university (CU) branding of subscription databases. Additionally this position assists in overseeing authentication access for specialized electronic resources. To support collection assessment and reports for national surveys, this position compiles and prepares spreadsheets to track collections data, usage analyses, consortia purchases, and other budget information. This position also participates in special projects, assists in selection duties and provides a wide variety of support activities for librarians in the unit and subject bibliographers.

Additional Info & Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Four years of general library experience involving typing, ordering, preparing, shelving, and maintaining library materials which include two years of relevant collection development, acquisitions or interlibrary loan experience. Substitution: Two years of course work from an accredited college or university including twelve semester hours of library science course work may substitute for two years of the general library experience. Desired Qualifications: Experience with an electronic resource management system or Millennium; expertise with Dreamweaver and Excel; experience in collection development or acquisitions; knowledge of copyright or licensing.
