Job Description
Mancos Public Library Director is responsible for leadership and operation of the community library. Works under direction of the Board of Trustees. Supervises staff, manages budget and development of library programs and services. Actively pursues outside funding. Creates a collegial atmosphere among staff. Pays careful attention to budgeting and bookkeeping. Works with board, staff, and volunteers to make the library serve as a hub for life-long learning and a center for nurturing community values.Additional Info & Requirements

Mancos Public Library District services the Mancos Valley, which stretches from the La Plata Mountains to Mesa Verde National Park. We are located in the southwest corner of Colorado. Our Library District includes the town of Mancos (population 2,000), plus the surrounding rural area (additional 2,000). We are culturally and artistically diverse, as well as based in a traditional agricultural and recreational economy. Our LEED-certified library building was completed in 2009. Our library supports the latest technologies. We are customer-service-oriented. In addition to the Director and a staff of 14, we enjoy an active volunteer organization.HR Info
