Job Description

Douglas County Libraries has an exciting full-time Reference Librarian position available at the Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock, CO (a 32-hour per week position). The incumbent for the position will provide general reference service assistance to patrons of all ages and through outreach efforts.

Additional Info & Requirements

The starting salary could be increased to be commensurate with skills and expereince. A strong patron service ethic is a must. Requires demonstrated skills with collection development and general public reference tools including use of online databases and Internet searches. General business knowledge, programming experience and public speaking experience is strongly desired. Ability to speak Spanish is a major plus. Knowledge of the latest library and technology trends preferred. Strongly prefer MLS degree, and public library reference desk experience is required. Some evenings and weekend hours are required. Must be able to maintain positive, team-player staff relations.
