Job Description

Manage the multi-faceted Tribal Libraries Program that develops new and enhances existing libraries in Pueblo, Navajo and Apache tribal sites in New Mexico. The position provides traning and consulting to tribal library directors, staff, board members and volunteers of all aspects of librarianship, promotes advocay for tribal libraris and manages a state-funded grant program for tribal libraries. The position also oversees the remote operations at the Training and Outreach Center in Crownpoint, New Mexico in addition to supervising the Center's one (1) Library Technician - Advanced position. Also, the position will provide consulting and training services on cultural heritageand language prservation and promotion to staff at all New Mexico public libraries.
