Job Description
Education Affiliates is seeking three Librarians to manage the Learning Resource Centers (LRC) at our Fortis branches in Nashville, TN, Birmingham, AL, and Miami, FL.
The LRC Manager works daily with faculty and students of the school to support the curriculum, and provide instruction and reference services to patrons. The primary duties and responsibilities of the Librarian (LRC Manager) include, but are not limited to: LRC orientation, information literacy instruction, collection development, reference services, LRC outreach, maintaining records, reports and statistics, serving on committees, and other duties. The LRC Manager contributes to the development of the program’s philosophy, objectives, and services, and assures fulfillment of standards of all accreditation and regulatory agencies.
Additional Info & Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program
Two or more years post Master's professional library experience
Comfort level with IT hardware
Proficiency in library software
Strong communication skills with the ability to work collegially with faculty, staff and students
PREFERRED
Supervisory experience
Professional experience in an academic or medical library
