Job Description

Location: Support Services, 12855 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112. Starting Salary: Starting at $18.12 per hour, plus benefits. Hours: 40-hour, full-time, non-exempt position. Ability to work between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, required. Role: Assists internal/external users of the III/Website system by troubleshooting, feature research and testing, and providing reports. Major Duties and Responsibilities: 35% TROUBLESHOOT - Problem solves individualized III/website issues reported by staff by troubleshooting, researching, identifying the problem or referring the problem to the supervisor or appropriate team member in order to solve the immediate problem facing the staff member or patron. 25% SUPERVISOR ASSISTANCE - Assists the supervisor in setting up new features by conducting initial research on the III/website systems, testing, preparing documentation, and training staff in order to relieve the supervisor of administrative level duties. 20% REPORTING - Performs routine and simple reports by running database queries in the appropriate software in order to satisfy requests for information regarding collection decisions and library usage statistics. 10% DATA COLLECTION - Coordinates and gathers user experience data on topics determined by the team and also by communicating with other department members. Helps to make recommendations on III/website system changes based upon this data. 10% SOCIAL MEDIA - Researches and posts content to Library District social presences including Facebook and Twitter weekly. Expectations: 1. CUSTOMER RELATIONS – Outstanding and Personalized customer relations. 2. TROUBLESHOOT – Effectively troubleshoots issues for staff or patrons. 3. SUPERVISOR ASSISTANCE – Effectively assists the supervisor. 4. REPORTING – Accurate and timely report delivery. 5. DATA COLLECTION – Effective data collection and assistance with recommendations. 6. SOCIAL MEDIA – Accurate and timely social media posts.

Additional Info & Requirements

Two years to five years of similar or related experience, preferred. Bachelor’s level degree, or equivalent, preferred. Ability to work independently and be self-motivated required. Ability to find creative solutions and identify process efficiencies, required. Ability to recognize problems and respond or refer for the best solution, required. Intermediate knowledge of technology trends, including e-readers, social networking and troubleshooting, required. Intermediate technology skills, including intermediate assessment scores for Windows, Word, Excel, Internet Explorer, and Outlook, required. Established in 1966, the Arapahoe Library District serves more than 200,000 residents living in Arapahoe County. Arapahoe County and other major suburban counties make up the greater metropolitan area surrounding Denver, Colorado. The Arapahoe Library District operates eight branch libraries, an Outreach Service that provides mobile library services, and a library at the County Detention Center, funded by the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Department. A seven-member Board of Trustees sets the library budget and determines policy.
