Job Description

This position provides leadership in the design and implementation of the online statewide system for the collection of annual statistical and financial data for public libraries and other types of libraries. In addition this position collects, edits, and analyzes statewide library data; develops and maintains website and online resources; calculates distribution of state aid to public library systems; provides expert assistance in the evaluation of library and library system services; and provides guidance in the evaluation of public library system operations, services, and financial operations. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of data collection methodologies including survey, interview, focus group, and observation; public library terminology and related definitions; database and spreadsheet applications (vlookup, pivot tables, charts, complex formulas, macros, and queries); statistical and data analysis concepts and techniques; the development and testing of data collection systems; and web design, including html and CSS.
