Job Description
Regis University is seeking to hire a Distance Librarian to provide reference and instructional services to a diverse clientele at the Lowell campus, at Regis extended campuses, and online. Travel to extended campuses is required in addition to some evening and weekend hours. This position provides library instruction and research assistance to students and faculty in main library, at extended campuses and in online environments. The schedule for this position is Monday - Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 to 6:00 pm., with flexibility to teach evening and weekend classes.Additional Info & Requirements
Candidates must have reliable knowledge of print and electronic reference sources commonly found in academic libraries and strong knowledge of the Library of Congress classification system. Excellent communication skills and strong computer skills as they relate to reference librarianship, including the ability to search an online catalog or library database effectively and the ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Calendar, Word, Internet Explorer.
