Job Description
The EDUCAUSE Library is a repository for information concerning use and management of information technology (IT) in higher education. The library aggregates content submitted by EDUCAUSE and its members. Resources include articles, books, conference sessions, contracts, effective practices, plans, policies, position descriptions and blog content. http://www.educause.edu/library This position is 12 hours per week. Position duties would include; • Indexing and abstracting articles, presentations and multimedia resources for the Library. • Finding and selecting appropriate electronic resources for taxonomy specific EDUCAUSE Library pages. http://www.educause.edu/library • Checking current library entries for updated content. • Evaluate the EDUCAUSE taxonomy for missing topics. http://www.educause.edu/library#topics • General cataloging duties. Skills and experience desired; • Knowledge of Information Technology terminology • Strong attention to detail • Cataloging and indexing experience Onsite availability preferred, but telecommuting arrangements would be considered.
