Job Description
This position is responsible for professional librarian work, with primary responsibility for working with all types of electronic materials: selecting, ordering, working with vendors, managing the accompanying budgets. This includes the patron online databases, as well as ebooks and any other types of ematerials. Incumbent will be required to work some evenings and weekends. Essential Job Functions, Duties, Responsibilities, and Tasks Under the general supervision of the Technical Services Coordinator: 1. Consult with selectors regarding choosing, ordering, and managing: · Electronic books of all types · Streaming collections (audio and video) · Subscription databases 2. Negotiate licensing agreements and contracts with vendors for subscription databases and other electronic materials 3. Develop and maintain ongoing effective relationships with vendors of electronic materials and electronic resources 4. Oversee the electronic materials account 5. Work a regular shift on a public services desk no more than 4 hours bi-weekly Other Duties and Responsibilities 1. Set up demonstrations of electronic products and occasional training when necessary 2. Keep the Electronic Resource policy up-to-date 3. Work with Automation Services, Front Range Community College, Library Administration, and other City offices 4.
