Job Description
The teacher librarian will provide digital literacy instruction, digital literacy instructional leadership, and library leadership and support. The teacher librarian will: - Collaborate with faculty to plan and provide learning opportunities that address information literacy, technology literacy, and digital citizenship standards. - Collaborate with faculty to plan and provide opportunities that require students to evaluate and synthesize information, apply critical thinking skills, and innovatively demonstrate their learning. - Provide information literacy, technology literacy, and digital citizenship instructional leadership for the faculty. - Integrate a variety of digital and print resources as part of information literacy instruction. - Explore, model, and integrate a variety of technology tools as part of technology literacy instruction. - Help assess students’ digital literacy skills as part of co-planning and co-teaching with classroom teachers. - Provide library management and leadership related to: - Library budget - Acquisitions - Organization, use, and scheduling of the library space - Orientation - School library policies and procedures - Use and maintenance of the online catalog system - Align the goals and services of the library with the educational objectives and programs of the school.Additional Info & Requirements
