Job Description
Will provide reference desk assistance, and other technical tasks in support of the Library functions. This is a substitute position to provide coverage at the reference desk with a set schedule and for absences at the Adult Reference desk on an as needed basis.Additional Info & Requirements
Prefer one year working at a public reference desk answering reference quieries.Serve at the public reference desk in assigned department, interviews patrons by telephone or in person responding to service requests. Locate information in assigned area using computerized databases and library tools. Accompany patrons to the book or audio-visual resources and instruct patrons in the use of library resources. Recommend resources for purposes of education, information, or recreational reading. Provide general administrative and technical support related to various Library functions and customer service.
