Job DescriptionLibrary Technician I, Denver Public Schools, Purchasing Department. Responsibilities: Assists the Acquisitions Ordering Coordinator with yearly ordering of library materials, maintenance of school library accounts. Performs general bibliographic research and maintains adopted textbook list. Must be able to handle multi tasks and have organizational skills. Interfaces with vendors and school personnel on acquisitions issues. Works with school librarians by answering inquiries, providing feedback on collection maps and collaborating on book selection for grade level appropriate books. Requirements: Computer proficiency, especially with Word and Excel. Experience working with financial information, budgets and financial reporting. Demonstrated analytical ability and attention to detail skills. Previous experience with library automation system beneficial. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's degree or background in library work preferred. Job Number: Job Number: SA079141002. Salary/Hourly Rate starting at $12.09/hr "subject to negotiated agreements.
