Job Description

You love efficiencies and processes. You are constantly thinking of ways to improve things and love it when operations run smoothly. You want patrons to enter our buildings saying “Wow!” as they experience a warm and welcoming environment. You hire, supervise and schedule page staff and volunteers. You train staff in working with automated materials handling and library computers. You help determine best practices for materials handling. Site supervision is divided between “front of house” and “back of house” tasks for increased effectiveness. The Operations Supervisor handles “back of the house” operations including scheduling pages and volunteers, circulation procedures and work flow processes. In addition, they are responsible for the operations of the facility including the building and grounds, cash management, shelving and the look of the facility when the doors open. Pages and volunteers report to this supervisor. The Operations Supervisor ensures a consistent quality customer experience and works with patrons in-person, by phone, mail and via electronic means. You handle things in a timely manner so that patrons have immediate access to physical and digital resources.

Additional Info & Requirements

Must have a valid driver's license, if you are from out of state, you must have a valid Colorado driver's license within 30 days of hire date, and you must not have any major violations, nor more than one DUI, DWI, DWAI conviction in the past three years. Offer of employment contingent on criminal history, MVR check and education verification. May be required to work some evenings, weekends and minor holidays.
