JOB OPENING (Search Re-Opened): Head Librarian II – Benson, MN
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Directs and coordinates activities of a medium sized library including staff supervision, budgeting, collection development and other activities related to the operation and management of a library.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Experience with supervising and coordinating the work of library personnel.

Fundamental knowledge of and experience with library science systems, principles, and procedures.

Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and their application to library services.

Demonstrated example of leadership and decision making skills/abilities.

Strongcustomer service and interpersonal skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of study and at least two years of related work experience that includes some supervisory or management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to perform the essential duties of the job.
Master’s degree in Library Science or related field is preferred.
Position Open Until Filled
HOURS: Hours per week: currently average 40 hours per week
Appointment range: $17.33 - $24.64 per hour DOQ. Competitive benefit package includes Minnesota Retirement (PERA).
