Job Description
This position exists to serve as a functional expert and resource person within the Technical Services Department and the University Libraries as a whole for the management and analysis of data for electronic resources as well as the compilation of acquisitions information for tangible and electronic serials to facilitate decisions about the University Libraries collections and the budget for the collections. This position collects, organizes, and analyzes usage data for electronic resources to generate reports on usage for use by Libraries faculty in the evaluation of electronic resources; maintains information on electronic resources to facilitate public access to those resources and the behind-the-scenes management of those resources; and researches and compiles information needed for serial and database renewal decisions and for the calculation of allocations for Libraries budget for collections.
Additional Info & Requirements
Four years of general library experience involving keyboarding, ordering, preparing, shelving, or maintaining library materials including two years of technical library experience appropriate to the position.
Two years of course work from an accredited college or university including twelve semester hours of library science course work may substitute for two years of the general library experience. Some positions may require specific skills and familiarity with library routines and procedures.
Special Required Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Excel and experience with an integrated library system.
