Job Description
- Works public desks 20 + hours per week providing reference services to walk ins, over the phone, via email and instant messaging
- Assists and instructs patrons through material and online searches, computer software applications, reference, in-depth research, community referrals, and outside sources/ collections.
- Provides reader’s advisory services
- Maintains confidentiality in all patron and staff interactions
- Promotes library services through tours, demonstrations, talks and displays
- Participates in many outreach opportunities
- Researches new technologies and offers training to staff
- Coordinates the ADA workstations at the Penrose Library, including training other staff
- Member od Adaptive Technology Workgroup
- Conducts about 5 hours each week offering Business classes, one on ones and outreach as backup to Business Outreach Librarian
