Electronic Resources Librarian

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Reporting to the Head of Technical Services, this position coordinates all electronic and web services in the library, provides and interprets use data, works directly with vendors and the Colorado Alliance of Research Libraries, participates in the reference and instruction rotation, and implements improvements and provides maintenance for the library’s website.


Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Manage and guide development and assessment of electronic resources. 

• Organize and track license agreements.

• Edit and maintain library website.

• Participate in collection development.

• Develop and maintain research guides.

• Know technology and use it effectively to improve efficiency in library processes and services. 

• Provide reference services through individual consultations, chat and regularly scheduled reference hours including evening and weekend rotations

• Teach library instruction classes as assigned

• Troubleshoot patron connection and database access problems.

• Troubleshoot library computer problems and serve as liaison to IT.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:    

• ALA-accredited Master’s Degree 

• Three years academic library experience with at least one of those years working in acquisitions or e-resources management 

• Fluency in  written and spoken English 
PREFERRED:

• Experience with Sierra or other integrated library system(s) 

• Experience with vendors, publishers and library consortia 

• Proficiency with spreadsheet software 

• Familiarity with Adobe Contribute or other web publishing software
